Why We Built This
Lease Shield was built by James and Khun Ploy, a long-term expat and his Thai wife who together have navigated Thailand's rental market for over 20 years. In a country where foreign land ownership isn't straightforward, renting isn't just a lifestyle choice for expats, it's a reality.
Between us we've had wonderful landlords and difficult ones, heard horror stories from both sides of the rental relationship, and yes, lost deposits ourselves more than once.
Those experiences taught us exactly what documentation to keep, what clauses to watch for, and what steps actually protect both tenants and landlords when things go wrong. Lease Shield exists so you don't have to learn those lessons the hard way.
